Wow! Back from an amazing tour of Ontario and Quebec and getting tons of radio love launching us up onto the Earshot Magazine top 10 and top 30 radio charts in Guelph (CFRU 93.3FM), Thunder Bay (CILU 102.7FM), Fredericton (CHSR 97.9FM) and Saint John (local 107.3FM). A huge shout out to Sun FM 95.5 in Miramichi for all the spins, and last but not least, a big thank you to the East Coast Countdown for choosing our song 'Plant a Seed' for their East Coast Spotlight pick!
This is some live studio footage of the making of Earthbound Trio's 'Miner's Song' from our new album 'Ditch Flowers'. Dwayne's playing a Hawaiian Weissenborn, Bob bowing the double bass, and Mumble using an old chain and his grandfather's boots for percussion. Big thanks to Easy Comes Easy for the making of the video and to Before the Mast, the amazing sea shanty group out of Saint John, for backing vocals.
Ditch Flowers is getting some radio love! Thanks Fredericton and CHSR!
The godfather of the Saint John music scene, Brent Mason on 'Ditch Flowers'!
"The newest offering from Earthbound Trio is just what you'd expect from this much loved NB band - big sound, great guitar work, socially conscious lyrics and a great groove. The production does this band, who bring the dance to their live shows, complete justice!" -Brent Mason
Wow! What a night at Harvest Jazz and Blues in Fredericton! We shared a sold out show with our buds Grand Theft Bus - and the energy of the crowd was amazing! Thanks so much to everyone who came out to support us and the new album. Thanks also to the wonderful Kelly Waterhouse for jumping on sax and backing vocals for a few songs, and of course to Harvest Jazz and Blues for having us and for putting on yet another stellar festival!

The East Reviews 'Ditch Flowers'

"In Review: Earthbound Trio's 'Ditch Flowers'
...From the emphasis of the reggae phrasing in their music, to country-esque ditties, to fast-paced drum beats that nod to the rock legends of old, to irregular tempos found in blues and funk tracks, Earthbound Trio’s latest album, ‘Ditch Flowers’, has it all...
...The marriage of their unique sound to the resonating truths and political challenges that are found in their lyrics make Earthbound Trio a resounding force of nature that is a true affirmation to the natural presence in the band’s name. Earthbound Trio’s unique New Brunswick sound resonates with the people of our province. The organic sound of the Trio is certainly a local gem that you’ll want to dig up, polish off, and treasure..."
Some words from CBC's Bob Mersereau about EBT album 'Ditch Flowers'

"Earthbound Trio launches new album at Harvest gig
...Here's a group that hasn't snoozed since last year's Harvest. Earthbound Trio, the multi-genre, multi-home town trio has been making quite the impact for the past year. The trio features members from St. Andrews, Saint John and Fredericton, and makes a sound that's funky, bluesy, folky, rocky, with lots of rhythm, music that's danceable and intricate...
...Dwayne Doucette of St. Andrews is the writer in the band, and has crafted a series of tunes about growing in several ways. Plant A Seed keeps the connection to the earth that is part of the band's image, and other songs are about growing stronger as people, forming tighter bonds within communities.
...It's a rich collection of grooves and fun, lots of energy from a band that's on the rise..."
Some great feedback on the new Earthbound Trio album 'Ditch Flowers'!
"Smooth, organic, earthy with a hint of wheaty maltiness - the audio equivalent of drinking a Picaroon's Dooryard. This is a brilliant debut delivering on the tremendous potential readily apparent from these guys from their first live gig. Love it!"
- Brent Staeben, Music Director Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival
"The album had me hooked from the beginning with “Let It Go” and “Harbour Town"... There isn’t one song that I didn’t enjoy on this album, and I highly recommend you keep an eye out for it..."
